Description
The Pump House Restaurant, or the Chena Pump House, is located off Chena Pump Road in Fairbanks, Alaska. It was built in 1933 as a pumping station for a mining operation. In 1978, it was gutted and reborn as a restaurant. It is home to many antique furnishings, including a mahogany bar and a Gold Rush era pool table. Here it is seen from the deck of a passing sternwheeler. This image is also available in a color version.
