The Breadline Bluff Trail in Juneau, Alaska, takes hikers from the roadway to the wild beaches along Favorite Channel. The trail is steep in this area, and definitely to be considered an unimproved trail. The gorgeous view over the ocean was well worth the effort.
I am a long-time Alaskan, having lived here since 1970. I am retired from state service, after working for the Alaska Department of Corrections for twenty years. In my spare time, I take pictures. I have enjoyed photography since junior high, and I have an extensive photo library. I am working to turn my pictures into an income source to supplement my retirement. My photos include landscapes, nature photos, and abstracts. I have a particular fondness for shooting abandoned places or objects. Subjects range from Southeast Alaska to Interior Alaska, and the stretch of Canada in between. I retain the rights to all images I have posted here.
