Description
Auke Lake is located in Juneau, Alaska. It takes its name from the Alaska Native name for the lake, which means Little Lake. Auke Lake is home to coho, sockeye, pink, and chum salmon, as well as cutthroat and rainbow trout, and Dolly Varden. Human use of the lake includes swimming and boating. The University of Alaska Southeast has its Juneau campus along the lakeshore. Seen here is a small dock used for tying up float planes.
