On a hot summer day in Juneau, Alaska, the poppies were in full bloom at the Jensen-Olsen Arboretum. The arboretum is a land trust managed by the City and Borough of Juneau. Hot is a relative term, of course. It was around 80 degrees Fahrenheit on this sunny August afternoon.
