Description
The wild salmonberry (Rubus spectabilis) is a bramble in the rose family. It is related to the raspberry, nagoonberry, thimbleberry, and cloudberry. The fruit is golden to reddish in color. Salmonberries are native to the west coast of North America, from California to Alaska, and as far inland as Idaho. The berries are edible, and frequently used in jams, jellies, or syrups.
