Description
When temperatures drop well below zero, it certainly seems like a fine time to stay home and keep warm. I enjoy the opportunity to take the photos which are only possible in more extreme temperatures. Here, frosty trees flourish on the bank of the ice-choked Tanana River at Big Delta, near the town of Delta Junction, Alaska. Animal tracks are visible in the crisp snow, most likely from a wandering fox. Ice fog rises from the river, with the TransAlaska Pipeline in the background.
