Description
Spring is only now arriving in the north land. This involves lots of ugly, melting snow. Until the great outdoors is a bit more photogenic, I am shooting lots of still life photos with whatever strikes my fancy. The background is a piece of birch bark paper. The shell was collected on a beach in Juneau, Alaska. Climbing on the large rocks which make up many of the area’s beaches, you will find many broken snail shells. Gulls and other birds will drop the snails from a sufficient height to break the shells and reach the tasty mollusks within the shells. This is also available in color.
