Description
On a September evening, my husband and I left our house near Delta Junction, Alaska, for a drive down the Alaska Highway. It was sunny when we left home. On the road, we found rainbows, heavy rain, hail, fog, and an amazing sunset. I stopped for a few landscapes, then saw this view. My husband's Ram typifies transportation in Interior Alaska. The size is perfect for towing. The four-wheel drive is useful on a snowy winter day, or on a wet, muddy road. And the lights? We call 'em moose lights. Note the overhead light bar and the four covered lights across the grille. Moose are a frequent part of the daily commute. Finally, the electric cord to plug the heaters in when temperatures drop. All that, and he gets 28 miles to the gallon in a big truck.

Great capture and title Cathy. This picture looks like it came out of a magazine! Love the sunset colors, leading lines, and the icy road along with this SUV with its headlights on. Stunning! l/fave
