For many years, this was an illegal dumping ground for abandoned vehicles.the area has been reclaimed by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, and is now a popular destination for fishermen in search of king salmon. Many of the abandoned cars seem to be under the path, while others rest in the quiet water along the shore. Naturally, I took lots of pictures.
I am a long-time Alaskan, having lived here since 1970. I am retired from state service, after working for the Alaska Department of Corrections for twenty years. In my spare time, I take pictures. I have enjoyed photography since junior high, and I have an extensive photo library. I am working to turn my pictures into an income source to supplement my retirement. My photos include landscapes, nature photos, and abstracts. I have a particular fondness for shooting abandoned places or objects. Subjects range from Southeast Alaska to Interior Alaska, and the stretch of Canada in between. I retain the rights to all images I have posted here.
