Description
I shot this from my husband's skiff on a gorgeous August day. In the foreground is the black rock reef on the south end of Sentinel Island, near Juneau, Alaska. In the background you see the Chilkat Mountains. I liked the way the reef and mountains mirror each other.

Very nicely composed. I see this is near Juneau. We spent three months in AK last summer and didn't hear about this. We spent lots of time on the Kenai peninsula. At some time would like to take a cruise trip up from Washington state.

Southeast Alaska is certainly worth a visit! It is both beautiful and rich in history. There are many photographic subjects. As for this scene, the big cruise ships pass this island en route from Juneau to Skagway.
