Forgotten Beauty is the first in a planned series of mixed media collages to be titled Forgotten Faces. I was inspired by the many old photos offered by antique stores, flea markets, and online outlets. This photo is from Valdez, Alaska. It was dated in the early 1900s. Who is this young woman? I will probably never know. I find these photos to be poignant reminders of lives long lost. These photos should live on in family albums. In creating these collages, I hope these faces from the past will not be forgotten.
