Description
Spring is only now arriving in the north land. This involves lots of ugly, melting snow. Until the great outdoors is a bit more photogenic, I am shooting lots of still life photos with whatever strikes my fancy. The background is my own acrylic sponge painting over dictionary pages. The shell was collected on a beach in Juneau, Alaska. Climbing o the large rocks which make up many of the area’s beaches, you will find many broken snail shells. Gulls and other birds will drop the snails from a sufficient height to break the shells and reach the tasty mollusks within the shells.
